Cloth Tapes and Decorative Options for Wood Blinds

Cloth tapes are vertical widths of fabric that run along the rout holes and cords of your wood blinds. They cover the strings that are used to control your wood blinds and prevent light from seeping through the small rout holes.

Although cloth tapes and decorative rout covers are primarily designed to minimize the light that leaks through rout holes, they also provide you with alternative options for coordinating your wood blinds to your décor. Many manufacturers give you a variety of color options from which to choose, allowing you to decide whether you want the cloth tapes to blend in with the wood blind or accent other colors and textures in your room. They also give you a more tailored look to your wood blinds, hiding the strings and cords that run vertically along the window.

If you're looking to minimize light, you might want to consider a neutral cloth tape that blends in with the window. Neutral cloth tapes also blend in with most room designs, giving you a tailored look while still minimizing light leakage through rout holes.
